Problem
Switching between high and low beams in a bi-xenon headlight is done using a cover. This is operated mechanically. A compact, precisely working component that reliably opens and closes this cover was required. In a worst-case scenario, a failure could lead to accidents.
Solution
According to the exact specifications of the customer, MSG develops a compact solenoid that performs a stroke of exactly 3 mm. In the current third generation, the entire component now measures only 58 x 27 x 35 mm. The component production is automated as much as possible by MSG and all essential production steps and testing procedures are carried out entirely in-house.
How we work
MSG aims to find an individualised solution for every customer and every challenge, regardless of whether we work with general or very specific specifications. We develop the best technology for the job, build prototypes and improve them together with our customers until they are perfect.
